
PETRA JABLONSKI

Petra Jablonski is from Västerås, Sweden and her musical studies started at the age of 10 with singing and playing the piano. During her initial studies in Västerås and further studies in Falun and Ingesunds music college in Arvika she was introduced to the art of classical singing. Petra then studied at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm where she graduated in 1996.
Petra continued her studies in London at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under Professor Vera Rozsa and interpretation under Graham Johnson and Paul Hamburger. Petra lived for a further 7 years in London where she worked as a freelance singer.
Petra has performed as a soloist with orchestras in England, Poland, Latvia, Italy, France, Germany, Turkey and Sweden. She has also given many recitals and concerts and explored a wide range of music for the voice and piano but she has also performed many times with other instruments such as the Guitar and Flute. Petra added a new genre to her repertoire when she competed in the Swedish Reality TV show West End Star where she reached the final stages.
Besides performing as a classical singer Petra loves the cross over repertoar and as a result her album "Valentine" on Bonnier/Amigo.It has been highly recommended by the Japanese music magazine "Geijutsu" as one of the best and most successful crossover albums.
Petra has been arranging and organizing Children performances, such as "Carmen", "Pirates", "Simson- world strongest man", "Orfeus and Eurydike" and most recently "Timetravel" a spacesaga which includes a robot.
